Repossessions

Repossession is a time consuming, complicated and legally fraught matter, with legality being determined by widely varying local and state laws.

Southern Cross Collection, Auction Agencies strive to achieve the desired outcome for the legal owner of the goods or property whilst working within the ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines.

We work in conjunction with Police and other interested parties, including the lessee/purchaser to achieve a desirable result without invoking court proceedings where possible.

Where legal action has been enforced, we will act in accordance and within the guidelines set down by the courts.

Whilst all care is taken during these activities, Southern Cross Collection, Auction Agencies will not be liable for damages to vehicles - machinery - land - houses - commercial and grazing properties that have been repossessed or seized on behalf of any Financial Companies, Banks or Agents for Finance Companies or Banks.

Repossession Orders will be charged at a standard fee for service plus traveling costs for kilometres traveled - accommodation and out of pocket expenses.

Towing and storage fees will be paid, by the Finance Companies and Banks and Agencies acting for the Finance Companies and Banks, to the Towing and Storage Companies direct.
